Week 6 - Progress and Reflection

We have reached Week 6 of his 8 week program.  This week brought a mix of challenges and achievements as Sam continued his journey at Reactive Physical Therapy. Despite a rough start early on, the week showcased his resilience, engagement, and growing strength through a variety of activities and therapeutic sessions.
Progress and Encouragement
The week began with a brief virtual session, as Sam experienced some episodes that made it challenging to focus. However, during his in-person sessions, he was met with encouragement and support from his team. Discussions revolved around his progress and the strategies that have been helping him navigate his journey. Hearing how proud the team was of his efforts was a great motivator for him.
Physical Therapy Highlights
Physical activities were a significant part of the week. Sam participated in basketball hoops, balloon tennis, and even a bit of boxing. These sessions were a mix of fun and effort, with moments where he pushed himself and needed time to rest. Notably, he completed an extended hoops session and followed it up with a creative mix of games, including spike ball, ladderball, and lacrosse catch. The team noted his perseverance and energy during these sessions.
Morning Routines and Daily Strategies
Another focus this week was on creating a structured morning routine. By establishing standard wake-up times and practices to reduce stress, Sam worked with his therapists to identify ways to start the day feeling calm and prepared. Sam's sessions were full of engaging activities like Cat Chaos, Exploding Kittens, and the sound game.
